American Horror Story: Apocalypse is the eighth season of the FX horror anthology television series American Horror Story, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. It premiered on September 12, 2018, and concluded on November 14, 2018.[1] The season has been described as a crossover between the first and third seasons of the series. Apocalypse was announced on January 12, 2017.[2]

Returning cast members from previous seasons include Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Kathy Bates, Billy Eichner, Erika Ervin, Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Stevie Nicks, Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, Jessica Lange, Naomi Grossman, Jamie Brewer, and Angela Bassett, along with new cast member Cody Fern.

Apocalypse received positive reviews from critics, with many considering it as an improvement over the recent seasons. On April 9, 2019, for the first time in the series' history, it was announced by the Television Academy that Apocalypse would not qualify for the Limited Series categories, and instead be moved to Drama.[3] Apocalypse would go on to receive five Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for Jessica Lange.

Cordelia decide di far praticare a Michael Langdon le Sette Meraviglie ed ha una discussione con Myrtle poiché quest'ultima non è d'accordo con la sua decisione. Nel frattempo le abilità magiche di Mallory, una delle ragazze della congrega, aumentano e Cordelia percepisce di stare per morire e di sentirsi sempre più debole; nella stessa giornata sopraggiunge all'accademia una ricca ragazza, Coco, poiché ha iniziato a percepire alcuni poteri sovrannaturali. John Henry Moore, uno degli stregoni, percepisce la natura demoniaca di Michael e, dopo aver lasciato l'Accademia Hawthrone, mentre sta facendo benzina, viene ucciso e il suo corpo dato alle fiamma da Miriam Mead. Quest'ultima pedina i movimenti di John Henry attraverso una persona a lei cara, Ariel Augustus. Le Sette Meraviglie vengono praticate, ma, come settima prova, Cordelia chiede a Michael non di giungere nel proprio inferno personale, ma di recuperare negli inferi Misty Day, rimasta intrappolata nel proprio inferno personale anni prima. Michael riesce a riportarla in vita. 

Cordelia allora decide di far compiere a Mallory le Sette Meraviglie, e, dopo averle, chiede alla ragazza di far risorgere John Henry. Tutti pensano che Mallory sia la prossima Suprema
